Hillary Clinton will attend a staff party closing out her presidential campaign in Brooklyn, a former campaign aide told The Hill.
The Democratic presidential nominee is expected to appear at Friday’s celebration of her White House run at the Brooklyn Marriott.
{mosads}NBC News anchor Andrea Mitchell on Friday tweeted the festivities mark the shutting down of the Clinton campaign’s headquarters there.
Clinton has kept a low profile since her shocking loss to Republican Donald Trump in Tuesday’s general election.
Trump’s victory was astounding as the billionaire trailed Clinton in national polling averages as voters began casting ballots that morning.
Clinton formally conceded the race Wednesday, ending one of the most grueling and bitter White House fights in modern times.
“Donald Trump is going to be our president,” she said in a New York hotel ballroom. “We owe him an open mind and a chance to lead.”
“This is painful, and it will be for a very long time,” the former secretary of State added. “I’m sorry we didn’t win this election for the values we share and the vision we hold for our country.
“Last night, I congratulated Donald Trump and offered to work with him on behalf of our country. I hope that he will be a successful president for all Americans.”
