DSCC raffling autographed Clinton memoir

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton signed a copy of her new book for a Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee raffle, one of her first campaign activities for 2014.

{mosads}The DSCC is raffling off a copy of Hard Choices to donors, according to an email sent out by the committee.

The DSCC is run by Guy Cecil, a former Clinton campaign staffer who remains close with the family. The signed book is Clinton’s first support to Senate Democrats this year, though her husband has held a few fundraisers, and both Clintons helped out their in-law, former Rep. Marjorie Margolies (D-Pa.), in her losing primary bid.

“I’ve had the honor of working for Hillary. Her unparalleled dedication to our country is something I’ve experienced first hand,” Cecil writes in the fundraising email. “Contribute today to help stop a Republican Senate takeover and we’ll automatically enter you for a chance to win a personalized signed copy of Hillary Clinton’s new memoir, Hard Choices.”

Clinton is setting out on her book tour, a move that’s seen by many as the first major step toward a 2016 presidential run. Cecil has been talked about as a potential senior staffer on the race should she take the plunge.
