{mosads}The former Senate majority leader and presidential candidate was introducing Romney, the Republican Party’s nominee in 2012, at an event where both were stumping for Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.). Roberts is locked in a tight battle with independent challenger Greg Orman.
Because the race has the potential to decide which party controls the Senate, the Republican Party’s big names have been showing up to back the sitting senator. In addition to Romney, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) will be in Kansas tomorrow and announced a six-figure ad buy for the candidate Monday night.
Romney has said he is not currently planning to mount another run for the White House. In addition to his campaign in 2012, he ran for the nomination in 2008.
