Cold weather brings out lawmakers’ tweets
With temperatures around 12 degrees in Washington, lawmakers, from both warm and cold climes, took to Twitter Wednesday morning to voice some dismay, and some hope, about the cold.
Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy (D) had some trouble getting back to the city.
Flight back to DC is delayed this morning because of “frozen bathroom water”. #FreezingCold

Murphy might be used to cold weather in New England, but Texas Sen. John Cornyn (R) had another reaction.
Yikes! 12 degrees in D.C.

Despite the cold, Sen. Jack Reed (D-R.I.) is looking forward to warmer times, and some music.
It’s cold outside, but never too early to start planning for summer in #RI. 2015 @Newportfolkfest tix available today starting at 10 AM.
