Amy Schumer: ‘My heart is broken’ over Lafayette movie theater shooting

Actress Amy Schumer sent prayers to the victims of a movie theater shooting in Lafayette, La., which took place Thursday night during a showing of her latest film, “Trainwreck.”

“My heart is broken and all my thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Louisiana,” Schumer tweeted following reports that a gunman opened fire inside the crowded Grand 16 multiplex on Johnston St.

“He wasn’t saying anything. I didn’t hear anybody screaming either,” said one eyewitness of the gunman, who was described by authorities as a 58-year-old “lone white male.”

Universal Studio, which released “Trainwreck,” has so far declined to comment.
