A member of Donald Trump’s security team reportedly hit a protester in the face during a confrontation outside the Trump Tower on Thursday.

The guard ripped a sign reading “Make America Racist Again” during a protest of the GOP front-runner’s immigration stance, according to reports.

The protester, identified as Efraín Galicia, age 50, reportedly grabbed the security guard in an effort to retrieve the sign. The guard then turned around and delivered a punch.

“They pushed me around,” Galicia told the New York Post. “We brought all our banners. We know the law. We know we can protest along the sidewalk.”

The paper said Galicia was a Mexican immigrant who had resided in the U.S. for 30 years.

The Trump campaign told The New York Times that the guard had been “jumped from behind” and that they would “likely be pressing charges.”
