Billionaire Mark Cuban said Monday that President Trump should “just read a book” rather than taking to Twitter.
“Instead of getting on his phone and tweeting, just read a book. You know, just chill,” Cuban told CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street.” “I know that’s crazy to say about our president.”
Cuban, who has often criticized Trump since he took office, also said the president will not apologize for urging National Football League (NFL) team owners to fire players who kneel, rather than stand, during the national anthem.

“The president is not going to apologize. Are you kidding me? The president should read a book,” Cuban said in the interview.
Trump sparked controversy over the weekend for his comments about NFL players who kneel during the national anthem.
“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now,’ ” Trump said Friday at a rally in Alabama. “ ‘He is fired.’ ”
The president continued over the weekend, tweeting that individuals who kneel during “The Star-Spangled Banner” are disrespecting the United States. The remarks caused widespread protests at NFL games played across the country on Sunday.
A number of athletes from the National Basketball Association (NBA) also spoke out against Trump’s comments.
Cuban is the owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks.
