Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney signed a private settlement last year in relation to her claims that USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar sexually abused her.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Maroney signed a confidential $1.25 million settlement last year against the U.S. Olympic Committee and Michigan State University.

Nassar, a longtime doctor for gymnasts at the university, pled guilty to multiple charges of sexual molestation against female gymnasts during his time as the team doctor, who they claim molested them under the guise of medical treatment.

The doctor admitted that his actions had no medical purpose. He is still awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty in November.

Maroney, who accused Nassar along with Olympic gymnastics teammates Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas of molestation, is now seeking to have non-disclosure and non-disparagement clauses struck from the settlement.

Nassar was sentenced to 60 years in prison earlier this month on separate charges of possession of child pornography after investigators found thousands of illicit images on electronic devices belonging to him.
