Colbert: Melania isn’t in Davos because she’s afraid weather will be ‘too Stormy’
Late-night host Stephen Colbert on Wednesday mocked allegations that President Trump had an affair with an adult film star, saying first lady Melania Trump wasn’t traveling with her husband to Davos, Switzerland, due to “Stormy” weather.
The first lady’s spokeswoman announced Monday that Melania would not attend the World Economic Forum with the president due to “scheduling and logistical issues.”

“Yes, there were logistical issues,” Colbert joked. “For instance, the weather. She was afraid it was going to be too Stormy.”
The crack comes after allegations published in In Touch magazine that Trump in 2006 had an affair with an adult film star who goes by the stage name Stormy Daniels.
Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, was reportedly paid $130,000 by Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, right before the 2016 election to stay quiet about the alleged sexual encounter.
Melania has not made a public statement regarding the allegations.
The president arrived in Davos early Thursday for the gathering of global elites. He is expected to focus on his “America First” agenda in his address to the forum Friday.
