In a tweet, Trump touted Reed’s “amazing win” at Trump National Doral Golf Club five years ago where “people saw his great talent.”

Last year’s champion, Sergio Garcia, lost his chance at a victory after he hit five balls into the water on Thursday but stayed until Sunday to give Reed the trophy.
In 2014, Trump congratulated Reed for his victory at his property and said that Reed told him the “Blue Monster” course was “the best course I’ve ever played.” Reed was the youngest person to win the title at the time.
Reed’s latest victory marks his sixth tournament victory.
