Meghan McCain, co-host of “The View” and daughter of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Tuesday that the amount of leaks coming from the White House comes from a lack of loyalty to President Trump.
“My dad’s office, they never had a leaking problem. And you have leaking problems when you’re not loyal to the principal,” McCain said.
“It’s always a sign of a bad campaign, or a bad candidate, or a bad politician when you have rampant leaking problems, because it shows that you don’t have loyalty to the principal,” she added. “You’ve got to look in your own house on that one.”

The White House has renewed its furor over internal leaks in recent days after The Hill first reported that communications staffer Kelly Sadler mocked John McCain’s brain cancer diagnosis.
Sadler said during an internal White House meeting that McCain’s opposition to CIA director nominee Gina Haspel “doesn’t matter” because “he’s dying anyway.”
McCain said Tuesday that Sadler called her to apologize, but has not done so publicly.
She suggested on Friday that Sadler should be fired for her comments.
“I don’t understand what kind of environment you’re working in when that would be acceptable and then you could come to work the next day and still have a job,” McCain said.
Numerous politicians from both sides of the aisle have called on Sadler, Trump or the White House to issue an apology. The White House has not offered one, instead focusing on the leak of the comment.
In a tweet Monday night, the president blasted leakers as “traitors,” while simultaneously downplaying the significance of leaked information.
White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said Monday night that she expects there to be personnel changes following the latest unauthorized disclosures.
