Trump Jr.: Dems are now the party of ‘unbridled socialism’
Donald Trump Jr. on Wednesday blasted the Democratic Party after a night of primary victories for progressive candidates.
Trump Jr. “congratulated” the party in a tweet, saying it is now the party of “unbridled socialism.”
“Congrats to the Democrats, who after last night are now officially the Party of impeachment, open borders, abolishing ICE, banning the 2nd Amendment and unbridled socialism,” he wrote. “The Democrat Party of John F. Kennedy is dead. RIP.”

Trump Jr.’s comments come after a stunning upset in the Democratic primary in New York’s 14th congressional district.
{mosads}Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a 28-year-old Democratic socialist, former Bernie Sanders campaign organizer and first-time candidate, defeated 10-term Rep. Joe Crowley (D-N.Y.) on a progressive platform that included abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
In an interview on CNN Wednesday, Ocasio-Cortez said that, if elected, she would support impeachment for President Trump.
This is not the first time Trump Jr. has weighed in on this election cycle. Earlier this month, the president’s son headlined a GOP convention in Montana, and hit the campaign trail in support of West Virginia Republican Senate nominee Patrick Morrisey.
Another progressive won in Maryland Tuesday night, when Sanders-backed candidate Ben Jealous, a former NAACP president, won the Democratic nomination for governor.
