President Obama won’t likely drum up much support from foreign governments by distancing himself from the Bush administration’s anti-terrorism policies, Paul Mirengoff predicts, suggesting foreign nations will need better reasons to help the U.S. in Afghanistan and elsewhere. The economic stimulus package could be laden with even more pork than previously believed, Mirengoff writes, noting GOP claims that $8 billion for high-speed rail could be an earmark in disguise for a rail project in Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D) home state of Nevada.
