President-elect Barack Obama has done well to reach out to Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) to ask for advice, Charles Lemos asserts, welcoming Obama’s willingness to listen as a “departure” from President Bush’s style. A pardon could be in store for former Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska), who was convicted on corruption charges before the November election, Lemos predicts.
