Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D) could still fill the vacant Senate seat even though he faces corruption charges, notes the Drudge Report. In other Blagojevich news, Drudge notes that the arrest of a governor has become an Illinois tradition, that the Chicago Tribune withheld stories at the request of prosecutors and that Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.), the incoming White House chief of staff, could find himself in the middle of the case.
