The liberal AMERICAblog’s attacks against John McCain for opposing Sen. Jim Webb’s (D-Va.) new G.I. Bill are “ridiculous” and “disrespectful,” writes Mark Hemingway. AMERICAblog, noting that McCain himself receives $58,000 a year from the government for his military service, takes it too far by questioning how disabled the once-tortured McCain really is, Hemingway writes. The Democratic Congress isn’t getting it done on the earmark reform front either, as a House committee Web site froze when it received more earmark requests than it could handle, Hemingway notes.
