The Plank

There’s no “ethical imperative” for superdelegates to support the popular vote winner, writes Zvika Krieger. Superdelegates, unlike voters in early primaries, know much more about the candidates and how they’ll perform in the general election, she writes. With questions raised about Barack Obama’s strength against John McCain, superdelegates would be justified voting against him, she adds. It would be unjustified to support Chuck Norris’s illegal immigration plan, according to Josh Patashnik. The lord of the roundhouse kick would let authorities kill unauthorized border crossers, just like they can do with people who illegally enter Area 51. Norris’s logic is “interesting,” Patashnik concludes.
