While the media is blaming House Republicans for the failed bailout bill, they seem to forget that House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.) had 12 Democrats on his committee who voted against it, notes Erick Erickson. The bill failed by 12 votes. Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich.) should be fired for opposing the bailout and calling for Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson’s ouster at the same time he has failed to do anything that could help rescue the economy, writes Moe Lane.
