John McCain has called Social Security system in place, in which workers pay taxes to benefit retirees, an “absolute disgrace,” writes Josh Marshall in a video. While McCain’s spokesman said that the candidate’s issue is with the failure to fix the program, McCain himself has used the term “disgrace” at least twice to describe the broader federal program and clearly has a problem with the way the entitlement system was originally designed, Marshall writes in a post.
