John McCain denied Wednesday ever saying he wasn’t an expert on economics, but Josh Marshall has video showing the Arizona Republican made such statements. Barack Obama’s strategist David Axelrod has clearly explained that the Democratic candidate, now facing questions over whether his Iraq withdrawal position has shifted, has consistently said he would listen to commanders on the ground when deciding whether to pull troops and had introduced a phased withdrawal plan in January 2007 that allowed for “strategic pauses” in the pull-out schedule if conditions made them necessary, according to another Marshall video.
