Chris Cillizza spent the weekend analyzing “Bitter-gate.” He writes that Barack Obama fought back Sunday at a CNN forum on faith, reminding questioners of his embrace of religion and “sounding a defiant tone” in response to criticism that he was “an elitist” and “out of touch” with voters. Cillizza also has a scorecard of “Bitter-gate” so far, judging the controversy to as a “plus” that can help Obama get ready for the general election. But it’s a “minus” that Obama is facing attacks from two opponents.
