Foreign policy dominated Yglesias’ blog over the weekend. He suggested that what John McCain says he wants to accomplish doesn’t matter as much as the potential consequences of his George W. Bush-like policies, which include unilateral preventive war. Yglesias also looks at the latest attacks on the Green Zone in Baghdad and suggests that the Iraqi government’s decision to go after Moqtada al-Sadr’s Mahdi Army without going after other Shiite militias hasn’t been done for reasons of national interest.
