Twitter users mock New York Times report on Rubio’s traffic tickets
Twitter users pounced on The New York Times Friday for reporting on Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and his wife, Jeanette’s, past traffic violations.
The Times published an article Friday morning documenting the Rubios’ 17 traffic citations in Florida, which date as far back as 1997.
{mosads}Rubio supporters on Twitter took issue with the story and soon began mocking the publication by attributing other minor crimes to the 2016 presidential candidate using the hashtag #RubioCrimeSpree.
It wasn’t long before the hashtag became a top trending topic on Twitter nationwide.
