More than half of protesters arrested in Portland didn’t vote in state: report
More than 100 people have been arrested protesting in Portland, Ore., since President-elect Donald Trump’s victory last week.
{mosads}But a report from KGW News shows that 69 of the 112 protesters arrested to date did not cast a ballot in the state on Election Day.
According to the records analyzed by KGW, 69 of the arrestees either were not registered to vote in Oregon or did not cast a ballot on Nov. 8.
Twenty-five of the demonstrators voted, the outlet reported.
KGW’s investigation into the voting records is ongoing.
Anti-Trump protesters have popped up in cities across the country since the billionaire’s surprise victory in the presidential election last week.
According to Oregon Live, 71 people were arrested after the protests in Portland turned violent on Saturday.
