Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), one of several Democrats running for president in 2020, offered to buy an Iowa woman pizza after she inadvertently interrupted a Gillibrand campaign event to get some ranch dressing in a clip that has gone viral.

“Two important things I know about Iowa: The caucus-goers are engaged and wonderful, and never get between a Midwesterner and their ranch. Pizza’s on me during the next trip to Iowa City, @kinney0116!” Gillibrand tweeted Wednesday.

{mosads}Hanna Kinney distracted Gillibrand while she was talking to patrons at a restaurant in Iowa City on Tuesday. Kinney said she was “just trying to get some ranch” dressing.

Video of the exchange quickly went viral, with 190,000 people viewing a clip within less than 24 and social media users dubbing the woman #RanchGirl.

Gillibrand was in Iowa hoping to boost early support for her campaign in the state, which hosts the first contest in the Democratic primary race. She is facing off against several other candidates, including Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), Cory Booker (D-N.J.) and more, with the field expected to expand.
