Preet Bharara to start podcast: report

Former U.S Attorney for the Southern District of New York Preet Bharara is joining his younger brother’s media firm and starting a podcast, The New York Times reported Sunday.

Bharara, who was fired by President Trump earlier this year, will host a podcast called “Stay Tuned With Preet” to examine justice issues and legal cases, according to the Times. The title references a phrase Bharara often uses during press conferences.

Bharara will also reportedly write for the media company’s news and entertainment website, Cafe, and will launch a conference with his brother, Vinit, next year called Cafe Con.

{mosads}Bharara told the Times that he wanted to join the media company so he could continue to discuss justice issues and hold people in power accountable.

“It’s an extension of all the things I have been doing, although I no longer have the authority that I had before,” he told the Times.

Bharara is also working on a book about the “search for justice,” slated to be released in 2019.

Vinit Bharara projects that his company will generate more than $12 million in revenue this year and double that amount next year. He said that adding his recognizable brother will help boost the company’s visibility.

“This is a business,” Vinit Bharara told the Times. “Clearly, I see how this is going to benefit Cafe.”
