{mosads}Both the Obama campaign and the Romney campaign have worked to lower expectations for their respective candidates as the presidential debates near. The Romney campaign has said one of President Obama’s greatest talents is oration, while the Obama campaign has said Mitt Romney is far more seasoned in the debate setting because he recently participated in a number of them during the Republican presidential primary.
The vice presidential debate between Ryan and Biden is set for Oct. 11 in Danville, Ky. Biden recently held his first mock debate session, with Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) standing in for Ryan, in Washington, D.C.
In the same interview, Ryan was also asked about a disputed call over a Hail Mary pass at the Seattle Seahawks-Green Bay Packers game on Monday. The call, made by substitute referees standing in for the regular ones because of a contract dispute, gave the game to Seattle. A number of politicians, including both Obama and Romney, called for a resolution to the dispute in response to the disputed call at the Seahawks-Packers game.
Reports on Wednesday said that the NFL referees union and the NFL were close to ending the dispute that caused the football league to use replacement referees. Ryan, a vocal Packers fan, said he hoped a deal would be struck soon.
