Obama hits the court again, this time playing with two daughters
President Obama stepped out of the White House with his two daughters, Sasha and Malia, on Sunday morning to play basketball at the nearby Interior Department building.
{mosads}This is the latest of several games this weekend for Obama, whose time on the court on Friday left him with 12 stitches in his lower lip.
The injury happened during a series of five-on-five games with family members, aide Reggie Love, Education Secretary Arne Duncan and Rey Decerega, who is the director of programs for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. Decerega accidentally struck Obama with his elbow while going up for a shot.
On Saturday, the first family attended a game at Howard University between the Bison and the Oregon State Beavers. Obama’s brother-in-law, Craig Robinson, is the coach of the Beavers men’s basketball team, which beat Howard 84-74.
Note: A later pool report said that “friends” had come with Obama, Sasha and Malia on their outing.
