Nearly 60 percent of people predict the economy would be in worse shape in a year.
The poll was posted the same morning the Labor Department released the September jobs report, which had been delayed because of the shutdown.

The October report is due out on Nov. 8, and is expected to show the effects of the partial government shutdown.
