The ongoing standoff between the United States and Russia over Ukraine, and the one year anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing are set to lead the Sunday shows on Easter morning.
Ukraine has instituted an Easter truce but it has become increasingly clear that an agreement inked in Geneva this week is failing to solve the unrest in the eastern part of the country. Pro-Russian militants who have seized control over government buildings are not backing down.
{mosads}Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Ukraine’s prime minister, will present his side of the story on NBC’s “Meet the Press” shortly after Russia’s ambassador to the United States, Sergey Kislyak gives Putin’s point of view on “Fox News Sunday.”
Senate Foreign Relations Ranking Member Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) will be on hand on NBC to discuss the appropriate U.S. response and to critique the Geneva deal signed by Secretary of State John Kerry.
ABC will host House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) for a talk likely to focus on the Boston bombing anniversary, the new shootings in Fort Hood and the Pulitzer Prize given to reporters who broke the story of National Security Agency surveillance programs leaked by Edward Snowden.
One of the feted Snowden reporters, Glenn Greenwald of The Guardian US will appear on CNN’s “Reliable Sources.”
