Christine O’Donnell: ‘Door open’ to another run, spot in Romney administration
{mosads}“The door is open,” she said. “If I had to make the decision today, I’d say, ‘Heck no!’ … [but] I’ve learned not to say no with absolutely certainty until the time is right to make that decision, and I think that there’s still time.”
The Tea Party darling said she would also consider a hypothetical offer for a job in the Romney administration. She has endorsed the former Massachusetts governor in the GOP presidential primary.
“Well, who knows?” O’Donnell said. “I have to continue to help Gov. Romney in any way that I can. Whether or not I would actually work in the administration depends, again, on what role, on what capacity, and what else was going on in my own career at the time.”
O’Donnell’s race made national headlines when late night host Bill Maher aired clips from 1990s appearances O’Donnell made on his old show, “Politically Incorrect,” in which she admitted that she had “dabbled in witchcraft” and gone to “a midnight picnic on a satanic altar” for a first date. Coupled with previous statements O’Donnell had made about religion and sexuality, she quickly became a punchline for many Democrats.
