Former West Virginia Gov. Arch Moore dies

Former West Virginia Gov. Arch Moore, who pleaded guilty to federal corruption, died Wednesday. He was 91.

The three-term governor and father of Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) died in Charleston “with his family by his side,” according to a news release from Capito’s office.

Moore, a Republican, was born into a family with GOP ties. His image was tarnished after he served three years in prison on federal corruption charges.
