Clinton Foundation president Donna Shalala is out of the hospital following a stroke and says she is ready to get back to work.
“I’m out!” Shalala, 74, the former secretary of Health and Human Services in the Clinton administration, said in a statement thanking doctors and nurses who cared for her.
{mosads}”Today I am feeling strong and ready to get back to work,” she continued. “I was lucky to be in a great city with a first class stroke program close enough to reverse my condition.”
Shalala suffered a stroke last Tuesday following a Clinton Global Initiative event in New York. A statement last week said she was with friends at the time of the stroke.
