24-hour all-gun home shopping network launching in January

GunTV

Two people in California are getting set to launch the country’s first all-gun home shopping channel, according to Newsweek

GunTV, scheduled to launch Jan. 20, will broadcast gun-related programming and sell firearms, ammunition and accessories, as well as air commercials from firearm manufacturers around the clock.

{mosads}“The ease and convenience of purchasing firearms will be as simple as consumers calling a toll-free number and placing their order,” according to a promotional video for GunTV.

GunTV will also air safety and training content every hour, according to channel’s website

To stay in line with gun laws, GunTV won’t actually sell the firearms directly to viewers, according to The Desert Sun. When a viewer calls GunTV, the network will place an order on behalf of the viewer with Sports South, a distributer in Louisiana. Sports South will then ship the weapon to a local gun store, where it would be purchased by the viewer.

The channel was created by Doug Bernstein and Valerie Castle. Both have professional backgrounds in shopping networks.
