Conservative blogger Erick Erickson is issuing an apology for shooting bullet holes through The New York Times’s front-page editorial on gun control on Saturday.
But it may not be the apology many were hoping for.
{mosads}“The ensuing reaction over these past twenty-four hours have convinced me I must apologize,” Erick Erickson wrote in a blog post on Sunday.
“In all honesty, had I known that these last twenty-four hours would be as hysterically funny as they have been, I would have shot the front page of the New York Times well before today,” he added.
On Saturday, Erickson posted a photo of the bullet hole-riddled front-page on his Instagram, calling for others to do the same after the newspaper pressed for tougher regulations in a rare front-page editorial.
