Washington Post owner floats sending Trump to space

Jeff Bezos on Monday responded to an attack from fellow billionaire businessman Donald Trump by suggesting the GOP presidential candidate be sent to space.

In one of only four tweets on his account, Bezos tweeted:

{mosads}His tweet brought attention to a video released last month from his Blue Origin space company of a rocket successfully touching down in west Texas.

“A life-changing adventure is coming soon,” reads text in the video as digitalized astronauts peer through a pod window from outer space. It notes the rocket can travel at mach 3.72, or roughly 2,900 miles per hour.

“We are building Blue Origin to seed an enduring human presence in space, to help us move beyond this blue planet that is the origin of all we know,” Bezos said in a statement about the program on Nov. 23.

His remarks on Monday came hours after Trump sent several tweets accusing Bezos of owning The Washington Post in an effort to lower his tax burden.
Trump, who often goes after media companies in their coverage of his 2016 White House bid, also shared a tweet on Monday afternoon, declaring, “The Post doesn’t get that I’m good at winning!”
