Investigators are now looking at a suspicious deposit made to a bank account belonging to one of the alleged attackers in the fatal mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif., according to Fox News.

Syed Rizwan Farook reportedly received $28,500 from WebBank.com two weeks before the attack, which killed 14 and wounded 31.

{mosads}Fox News cited an anonymous source who said investigators are pursuing the possibility that the deposit was a loan used to purchase the weapons used during the massacre.

Fox News said Tuesday that Farook withdrew $10,000 in cash at a Union Bank branch in San Bernardino on or around Nov. 20. At least three subsequent transfers of $5,000 apiece also went to Farook’s mother before the attack, it added.

“[It is] significant evidence of pre-meditation,” the source told the news outlet.

Farook also rented an SUV on Nov. 30, the source added, two days before the vehicle was used in the shooting on Dec. 2.

Police killed Farook, 28, and his wife, Tashfeen Malik, 27, during a shootout in Redlands, Calif.

The FBI said Monday that it believes the couple was radicalized long before they were suspected of opening fire on the Inland Regional Center, where Farook worked.

GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump said Tuesday that bank deposits might have helped the pair carry out the attack.

“Look, how many people have gotten checks put into their accounts?” he asked on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

“Obviously somebody gave them money, and I hope that the FBI and our great law enforcement are able to figure this out,” Trump continued.

“How many other people are given $28,000 or more or less to go out and do destruction like these two animals did the other day in California?” the outspoken billionaire asked. “We have a very, very serious problem and we can solve the problem, but we have to solve it through intelligence and we have to solve it through toughness.”
