Trump trades hits with ABC News anchor after Dem debate
Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump stayed mostly silent during Saturday night’s Democratic presidential debate, until he was moved to challenge a top ABC News anchor over one particularly “stupid” remark.
“[George Stephanopoulos] stupidly believes that Hillary wants to run against me because she said so,” Trump tweeted just before the two-hour debate wrapped up. “She says that so people believe it – opposite!”
Stephanopoulos, a former White House communications director under President Bill Clinton, quickly responded to the jab.
.@realDonaldTrump See you tomorrow on @ThisWeekABC!

{mosads}”.@realDonaldTrump See you tomorrow on @ThisWeekABC!” he tweeted, referring to ABC’s Sunday talk show, which Stephanopoulos hosts.
As to what he thought of the debate itself, Trump’s only remark was to retweet a supporter who replied “LMAO” to the question “who won the #DemDebate.”
“@bflannery83: LMAO @realDonaldTrump won the #DemDebate https://t.co/434SyZvAti“
