Tea company to remove Trump quote

Honest Tea, an organic tea company, is in the process of phasing out a Donald Trump quote from its bottle caps.

{mosads}On Sunday, Honest Tea customer Paul Shapiro tweeted an image of a cap that included the quote: “If you’re going to think anyway, you might as well think big. Donald Trump.” 

“I usually don’t think of organic green tea consumers as target demographic for Donald Trump,” Shapiro said, according to The Associated Press. 

Honest Tea tweeted back to Shapiro, saying the company was in the process of having the Republican presidential front-runner’s quotes removed from the caps.

Honest Tea co-founder Seth Goldman said the company was already in the process of phasing out the Trump quote when Shapiro sent the tweet. 

Goldman told the AP that Coca-Cola, which acquired Honest Tea in 2011, advised Honest Tea there was less risk of offending people with quotes from people who have been dead awhile. 

‘“There’s nothing objectionable to the thought,” Goldman said about the Trump quote.
