Ahead of the record-breaking Powerball lottery drawing Saturday, a Jeb Bush supporter gave the Republican presidential candidate a potential windfall of nearly $1 billion.
{mosads}“This guy made a campaign contribution of a Powerball ticket,” Bush told CNN after a pro-life rally in Columbia, S.C. “I just want to make sure you realize this is not for me personally.
“If we win, I’m sure it will be a [Federal Election Commission] violation, but it’s all going to a really good cause,” the former Florida governor added.
The Powerball jackpot sat at $900 million — its highest ever — hours before the Saturday night drawing.
“It’s going to be amazing. It’s going to be huge,” Bush said.
“Huge?” a reporter asked.
“Yooge,” Bush quipped, mocking rival Donald Trump’s use of the word.
