Former Mexican president curses at Trump on live TV
Former Mexican President Vicente Fox on Friday doubled down on his controversial comments about Donald Trump’s plans for a border wall, repeating his vehement insistence that Mexico will not pay for “that f—ing wall.”
Fox’s initial use of the expletive during an interview with Fusion’s Jorge Ramos earned the ire of Trump himself, who demanded an apology from the ex-head of state.
{mosads}But rather than apologize, Fox went on TV again, this time speaking live with Fox Business Network anchor Maria Bartiromo, and uttered the exact same phrase a second time.
“I am not going to pay for that f—ing wall,” Fox exclaimed as a shocked Bartiromo looked on. “I am not, and [Trump] should know that, and I am not going to apologize.”
Fox was Mexico’s leader from 2000 until 2006. Former Mexican President Felipe Calderón has also gone on record forcefully rejecting Trump’s claim that Mexico will pay billions of dollars to construct a wall on the U.S.-Mexican border.
