Donald Trump on Friday night fired off a series of tweets slamming Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) after the liberal firebrand ripped the presumptive GOP nominee earlier this week.
Trump knocked Warren as “goofy,” and said he hoped Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton picked Warren as her running mate, predicting he’d defeat the pair.
He then continued by going after Warren’s old claim of Native-American ancestry. He dismissed similar criticism from Warren last month by sarcastically referring to her as “the Indian.”
Trump’s latest barbs directed at Warren come after the Democratic senator said this week that she would “fight my heart out” to stop his “toxic stew of hatred and insecurity” from reaching the White House. Warren, who said Trump has “built his campaign on racism, sexism, and xenophobia” in a series of tweets on Tuesday night, has often been speculated as a potential VP pick for Clinton.
