Ben Carson says he has no plans to run for public office in the future.

{mosads}”I have no intention of ever running for public office again,” Carson said Wednesday on Fox News.

“I wouldn’t have even done it this time had it not been for the tremendous outcry of the people. That’s the only reason that I did it.”

Carson ended his presidential bid in March.

“But I still am just as passionate about saving our country,” the retired neurosurgeon said.

“And I will continue to devote my efforts to making sure that we create an environment of safety and prosperity for our children.”

Carson became a strong supporter of GOP nominee Donald Trump, endorsing the candidate shortly after ending his own campaign.

He spoke Tuesday night in Cleveland at the Republican National Convention. During his speech, he slammed presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and linked her to Lucifer.

Carson claimed that Saul Alinsky, who wrote the book “Rules for Radicals” was one of Clinton’s political heroes.

“One of her heroes, mentors was Saul Alinsky,” Carson said during the speech. “On the dedication page [of Alinsky’s book, he] acknowledged Lucifer, the original radical.”
