Fox News co-presidents Jack Abernethy and Bill Shine have signed new multiyear contracts, 21st Century Fox and Fox News Executive Chairman Rupert Murdoch announced Wednesday.

“Jack and Bill have been instrumental in FOX News’ continued dominance in the ratings and historic earnings performance,” Murdoch said. “I am delighted they’ve each signed new deals, ensuring stability and leadership to help guide the network for years to come.”

Abernethy will continue running Fox Television Stations in 28 large markets throughout the country. He will also be responsible for all business components of Fox News and Fox Business, including finance, advertising sales and distribution.

Shine runs all programming and news functions for each network, including production, technical operations and talent management. Shine has been with Fox News since its inception in 1996. He began his Fox career as a producer for the prime-time program “Hannity and Colmes.”

Fox News and Fox Business have thrived despite the departure of Ailes, enjoying some of their best months in the history of each network in August.

Abernethy and Shine said in a joint statement, “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to continue leading FOX News and FOX Business into the future and look forward to working alongside the incredible roster of talent, both on and off air, to make each network even more successful.”
