Queen makes first public appearance while recovering from cold
Britain’s Queen Elizabeth on Sunday made her first public appearance in weeks, attending church services, since falling ill.
The queen missed her traditional Christmas morning church service due to a bad cold.
“The Queen continues to recover from a heavy cold and will stay indoors to assist with her recovery. Her Majesty will participate in the royal family Christmas celebrations during the day,” Buckingham Palace said.
{mosads}Both Elizabeth, 90, and her husband, Prince Philip, 95, had slowed their travel schedule and charity responsibilities.
