A group of protesters in downtown Washington D.C. have been seen smashing windows during an anti-Trump demonstration on Friday morning.
Eyewitnesses captured video footage of broken glass doors and one protester attempting to break a window of a local McDonalds. Other witnesses also posted pictures of a damaged car and a vandalized bus stop.
According to the Washington Post, the protesters were a group of self-described “anti-fascist, anti-capitalist” demonstrators who at times yelled “No more president.”
The Post also reported that authorities were seen using a chemical spray to disperse the crowds at Franklin Square.
As clashes with police continued, witnesses also saw a Washington Post reporter being thrown to the ground by authorities as he tried to approach a line of police officers.

D.C. police also clashed with protesters on Thursday evening as the group of demonstrators gathered outside of the National Press Club building.
Earlier on Friday, the Metropolitan Police Department told The Hill that it only made one arrest related to the inaugural activities.
“The Metropolitan Police Department announced an arrest has been made in a Conspiracy to Commit an Assault offense that occurred in the 500 block of 14th Street, Northwest. After a thorough investigation, it was determined that several individuals made plans to disrupt inauguration activities in an unlawful way,” the police department said in a statement.
