Tom Ridge may be considering a Senate campaign against Arlen Specter, but if he pulls the trigger he’s going to have to straighten out his residency eligibility first.
According to documents Ridge filed in June 2008, his primary residence is in Chevy Chase, MD.
Ridge’s company, Ridge Global LLC, provided consulting to the government of Albania. Federal law requires disclosure forms from companies who work on behalf of a “foreign agent.” The filing lists Tom Ridge’s address as 5315 Woodlawn Avenue, Chevy Chase, MD.
It’s still possible that Ridge could switch his residency in time to file for Senate. It’s also possible he owns a second home somewhere in Pennsylvania. A spokesperson for Ridge did not immediately return a request for clarification on these issues.
