Ben Carson gets stuck in Miami elevator

Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson was reportedly stuck in an elevator on Wednesday.

Firefighters freed Carson and his wife just before 9 a.m. on Wednesday from an elevator in the Courtside Family Apartments in Miami, according to a local NBC reporter at the scene.

Retired NBA player Alonzo Mourning was also at the scene, though he was not in the elevator with Carson.

{mosads}Carson was freed after being stuck in the elevator for 20 minutes, according to a Miami Herald reporter.

Carson tweeted his gratitude to the Miami police and fire departments.
