Emerging from a meeting with his top economic adviseres today, President Obama said the economy is showing “glimmers of hope.”
“We’re starting to see progress,” Obama said, according to the AP. “If we stick with it and don’t flinch in the wake of some difficulties, we will see improvements.”
Obama met with his top economic advisers to receive an update on the financial crisis. The meeting included Treasury Sec. Tim Geithner, Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke, Council of Economic Advisers chairwoman Christina Romer, and National Economic Council Director Larry Summers.
