The Secret Service will have to learn to deal with a new kind of threat: honeybees. A swarm of bees “took over” a bush near a White House entrance on Thursday, CNN reports.
“I walked out and thought it was a swirl of blossoms blowing in the wind, but turns out it was a swarm of bees,” photojournalist John Bodnar told CNN. “Half an hour later, they were still issuing warnings.”
Luckily, Charlie Brandt, the White House carpenter (they have one of those?), is also a beekeeper who will be looking after two hives in Michelle Obama’s White House garden.
